Matthew arrived in Canada in 1969 and attended the UPEI where he obtained a Batchelor's degree. He joined the VIA Rail team in 1981 as an attendant with the On-Board Services Department working in the corridor and on the Winnipeg route. He retired in 2007. Matthew est arrivé au Canada en 1969 et a fréquenté l'UPEI, où il a obtenu son Baccalauréat. Il s'est joint au groupe de VIA Rail en 1981 et a travaillé dans le département de service à bord des trains dans le corridor et sur la route de Winnipeg. Il prend sa retraite en 2007.
