The above Health insurance rates were extracted from the table issued by the Benefits Administration, People, VIA Rail dated December 10, 2010.

VIA Rail advises that if you prefer to opt out of the plan, please notify them in writing. Any such step is irreversible, namely neither you nor your surviving spouse will be able to join the plan again at a later date.

The overall claim experience for the last year allows a reduction in the premiums for the pensioners' health insurance plan. The improvement of this claim experience results in part from increasing use of generic drugs.

With your help, the impact of this change in consumption pattern will continue to be felt in the coming years especially with the expected arrival on the market of a large number of new generic products subsequent to the expiration of their patent, for example:

Flovent

Advair

We invite you to continue to ask your pharmacist the generic version for your prescribed medication.
